Alex has lead major projects at FrontStage Digital for the following clients.
Alex Foy lead a major project focusing on the re-development of the University of Notre Dame website. For the University of Notre Dame project, Alex introduced an alternative design for the existing site and created new templates to overlay the current page contents and assets. This innovative approach allowed the university to maintain asset IDs across the website while gradually implementing the new page templates and components to enhance its online presence. Read about the Notre Dame project here.

This project required our team to build a new website in the public web platform and export that site in a way that the client to establish it as a template in the secured intranet Squiz matrix platform. The project ran over a period of about 6 weeks. FrontStage were supplied Figma files and directed to create a pixel-perfect copy of the designs in HTML / CSSS / JS for Squiz matrix. The front-end design was set up as components in the SQuiz DXP for an easy, no-code content authoring experience for the HETI team. Read about the HETI project here.

Donna Kevey
Squiz DXP Developer - IA and Migration Specialist
Donna Kevey specialises in site migrations to Squiz CMS. Donna is a seasoned Squiz DXP Developer and Digital Specialist dedicated to creating impactful, user-centred digital solutions.
With extensive expertise in Squiz Matrix and WCAG compliance, she has delivered major projects for The University of Melbourne, including complex website redesigns and comprehensive resources for non-technical editors.
Donna previously worked with Beyond Blue and Deakin University, developing an app for mental health support. Donna excels at balancing technical innovation with business goals to deliver accessible, scalable, and highly engaging digital products.
Donna delivered a revised IA and Workshop report for the Education Services Board of South Australia.
The project detailed in the "ESB Discovery Report & Website Project Brief" aimed to transform the outdated Education Standards Board (ESB) website, which had not been substantially updated since 2018 and was struggling to manage information following national reform. The site’s poor UX and limited search functionality were identified as major barriers to compliance, user experience, and minimizing risk.1
The ultimate goal was to create a modern, high-performing, authoritative regulatory gateway. The scope of work included migrating the website from the legacy Drupal environment to the user-centric Squiz DXP environment and completely redeveloping the Information Architecture (IA). The project utilized the UltraCX website starter kit for design mockups, with the crucial consideration of making the entire design easily re-themeable to accommodate an anticipated future ESB brand review.1
Key functional requirements included optimizing iApply forms, using a DXP contact form for filtered inquiries, and implementing a tagging strategy to streamline content management across different audience sections like Early Childhood and Schools.1
Achieved outcomes are centered on creating a site that is WCAG-compliant, centrally supported, and provides staff with autonomy for content creation. Success measures prioritize maximizing compliance transparency through automated publishing and improving public accessibility and inquiry logging to meet Royal Commission goals
Donna is the lead consultant on a website discovery project with CBS South Australia. The project is being conducted in conjunction with The office of the CIO South Australia.
The primary aim is to significantly enhance Consumer and Business Services SA (CBS) online self-service capabilities, striving to provide the "1st answer, 1st time" to reduce contact center burden. The project aims to deliver a future-ready digital presence with improved UX and AI capabilities.
This initial discovery phase will result in detailed recommendations leveraging DXP technology and best practice UX design, forming a roadmap for future development. Main activities include defining the baseline experience using quantitative and qualitative methods, auditing content to reduce PDFs, conducting workshops to uncover problem patterns, drafting the Information Architecture, and creating an interactive, high-fidelity prototype.

Aleks Bochniak
Squiz DXP Developer, Squiz CMS, Matrix, Funnelback
As Lead Web Developer at AQA, Aleks guided the transition to a new website platform, quality assuring deliverables against acceptance criteria whilst managing relationships with third-party developers. Aleks embedded a culture of web development excellence, ensuring maintainable and extendable solutions for in-house teams. Previously at Griffith University, Aleks led the implementation of enterprise-level Funnelback search solutions and integrated Squiz Matrix with Enterprise Portal systems.
Aleks delivered exceptional results to the the PIRSA website team in their 2025 website redevelopment. Aleks was our primary front-end cut-up developer taking the designs in Figma and translating them to HTML / CSS and/ JS in a GIT repository, working collaboratively wth Alex Foy and Alex Shopov.
Aleks then supported the development team with Matrix CCT builds and configuration of funnelback across the entire website.
With Aleks working autonomously in the UK and our team reviewing his work and scoping new work each day, we were able to establish a 24/7 agile workflow to deliver the project rapidly and to a very high quality standard.
The core of Aleks's creation is the fully integrated system built on the utility-first Tailwind CSS framework, featuring 78+ content types and 450+ UI components. Specifically, Aleks established the 30+ base DXP components within the FrontStage UCX GIT repository. His architectural decisions ensure both speed and flexibility. He engineered a centralised theming approach using a global CSS stylesheet and design tokens, which allows entire websites to be re-branded safely in days.
UltraCX ensures high standards of quality and compliance, with components that are WCAG 2.1 AA compliant out of the box. This system, which cuts delivery timelines from months to 6–8 weeks and provides significant cost savings, is currently being scaled under Aleks's technical leadership to support the rebuild of websites for clients like Homes Tasmania and the South Australian government.
